Here’s a short story about Emily, the name sake of THE EMILY FOUNDATION. Emily was born on February 22nd, 2013. Emily is 10 years old going on 11, she’s a very beautiful healthy young girl that is currently suffering from Vitiligo. Vitiligo is an incurable skin condition that has no adverse side effects for the person with the skin disease.

Even though Emily is sad that she has Vitiligo and knows that there is no cure for her skin condition, she still wants to help other children who have life threatening illnesses that are far worse than Vitiligo. She is hoping that everyone can help in her mission to help other children to fight their battles against those life threatening illnesses.
